Underwriting tells you who a merchant was on the day you approved them. It doesn't tell you who they are six months later.
Today we're launching Continuous Monitoring, an add-on to Gratify that keeps checking merchants after they're boarded, so problems surface when they happen, not at the next annual review.
What it monitors
- Sanctions and watchlists. Merchants and their owners are re-screened on an ongoing basis. If someone in your portfolio is newly listed, you know.
- Adverse media and reviews. News coverage, customer reviews and complaints that point to fraud, legal trouble or a change in how the business operates.
Where alerts show up
Alerts land in the Gratify dashboard and in your CRM, so risk and account teams see them where they already work. No new tool to check, no separate inbox.
Why it matters
One-time checks at boarding are no longer enough. Sponsor banks and card networks expect ongoing oversight of the merchants you've approved (we covered why in Automated Compliance for Payment Providers and What VAMP Means for ISO Chargeback Risk). Catching a problem early means acting before it becomes chargebacks, a reserve call or a hard conversation with your sponsor bank.
Availability
Continuous Monitoring is available now as an add-on for Gratify customers. It picks up where Underwriting leaves off, so every merchant you approve stays under review for as long as they're in your portfolio.

Calculate your onboarding costs
ISOs processing 1,000 merchants/year spend $250K on manual onboarding. See your numbers.
